In this 8 week course you will learn how to make ceramics on the potters wheel or improve your throwing skills. The course will run over 8 consecutive weeks (excluding 14 October). A maximum of one missed class can be made up and this is only possible where there is a free space in another class. This course is a great introduction to the making ceramics on the potters wheel or if you have already followed a beginners class to improve your throwing. For complete beginners - you will learn how to make simple forms, and alter them to become cups, bowls or vases, trim them for a professional finish and glaze them to make then food safe. If you have already followed a beginners course, but wish to continue learning and practicing, then this courses will also allow you the freedom to do that. The instructor will be on hand to advise and guide you, allowing you to perfect your throwing skills. The class is 2.5 hrs long which includes clean up time. The course includes tuition, clay, glaze and firing costs (a maximum of 8 pieces will be fired.) Good to know: You will get dirty so please bring an apron, and wear clothes (and shoes) you dont mind getting dirty. Also throwing with long nails is very tricky, so best to keep your nails short.

Cancellation Policy
Unfortunately the course dates and times are fixed, and cannot be changed. We will try to accomodate up to one missed class where possible, unfortunately this cannot be guaranteed. Cancellation can be done up to 14 days prior to the commencement of the first day of the course. A full refund will be given less a €15 adminstration fee. After this date a 50% refund can be given up until 48 hours before the start of the course, after which the course is non-refundable.
