Workshops

Workshops are one time classes that will give you a lovely pottery experience in a few hours.

We offer different handbuilding workshops between 2 and 2.5 hours long. During this time you will be shown various handbuilding techniques and then you will use these to create your own handmade ceramics.  Some of the workshops have a specific objective, for example our 'Make a Mug' workshops or 'Breakfast Set' workshops.  Others have no specific goal but if you have a special project in mind, we will help you realise that vision as long as it is achievable within the timeframe.  You will have time to decorate your pieces with colourful underglazes if you wish.  They will be glazed and fired by us after the workshop and ready for your to take home 3 - 4 weeks after the course.

The One Day Taster workshops give you a taste of both making pottery on the wheel AND handbuilding ceramics.  The workshop is 3.5 hours long, and during this time you will learn the basics of wheel throwing and have time to play on the wheel.  You will also make either a mug or plate or bowl and have time to decorate these if you wish.  These handbuilt pieces will be glazed and fired ready for you to take home 2-3 weeks after the course.
