In this 7 week course you will learn how to make ceramics on the potters wheel or improve your throwing skills. The course will run over 7 consecutive weeks with the final glazing week on . And a final glazing week on 26 June. As our courses are often fully booked a maximum of one missed class can be made up. Making up a missed class is only possible where there is a free space in another class. This course is a great introduction to the making ceramics on the potters wheel.  During this courses you will learn how to make simple forms, and alter them to become cups, bowls or vases, trim them for a professional finish and glaze them to make then food safe. If you have already followed a beginners course, but wish to continue learning and practicing, then this courses will also allow you the freedom to do that.  The instructor will be on hand to advise and guide you, allowing you to perfect your throwing skills. This course is suitable for beginners or for people who have already completed a beginner course and wish to continue their wheel throwing journey. The class is 2.5 hrs long which includes clean up time. The course includes tuition, clay, glaze and firing costs (a maximum of 8 pieces will be fired.) Good to know: You will get dirty so please bring an apron, and wear clothes (and shoes) you dont mind getting dirty. Also throwing with long nails is very tricky, so best to keep your nails short.
